Assistant Willie Mack Garza of Tennessee that is-$1,500 supported by strong evidence and admission which would be an intentional major violation dealing with recruiting inducements. Anybody else suspicious of all these recruits with plenty of money to fly around the country on unofficial visits. The NCAA visitation rules are completely antequated now that most commit before they take official visits. The National Media intense spotlight and investigation of College Football continues

Stallion-
quit stirring up this pot. The legs on this story are short, and the most that will happen is a severe penalty on the parents of this recruit. Stories like this just take up band width on this site. Stop it. SMU is and always will be the penultimate cheater among college football teams, and deserves to be punished to this very day...(tongue FIRMLY planted in cheek...)

counselor, what say you about how far this will go?

I think the NCAA is going to come down [deleted] a bunch of schools that have dealt with Lyles because they involve intentional recruiting inducements(prior to signing) and street agents which are among the most serious violations because they give teams a competitive advantage. There will be substantial incriminating evidence because the NCAA has "turned" Lyles into a witness for the NCAA. Do I think they will get the Death Penalty? No-there isn't any evidence I've seen that would warrant the DP-yet.

Correction: No one that follows the NCAA script written as a result of the SMU Death Penalty will ever get the Death Penalty. If some school's administration/governing board does what SMU did then yes the NCAA will give the Death Penalty. No question whatsoever in my mind.
