Texas TV markets...

Postby Dutch » Tue Sep 27, 2011 10:52 am

saw this on a real estate blog, but thought would be relevant here. when these other conferences (besides the BigTX) are looking to gain TV exposure, here's where Texas and DFW & Houston fall in line with the rest of the country...

WOW. I knew we had large TV markets in Texas but I had no idea that both the DFW area and Houston were so large. Makes a damn good argument for why SMU needs to be in a BCS conference, not called the B12. Guess you could say the same for Houston and TCU as well.

is there any doubt why UT has so much leverage over the rest of teh BigTX? only state in the top 25 besides them is Missouri, with a quarter of the population, all in KC & SLu.

Yep. It also goes to show why UT is slow on giving up on or giving concessions on the LHN.

Now consider 100 Million + in the Footprint of a potential PAC 16 plus this is the area with the biggest potential future growth
