We're mentioned basically as a choice of last resort, below freaking Rice. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
What was that? A choice for inclusion in the Big 12?
Seems to me we're a little sensitive.
Yeah, a choice as in "we need one-two more schools and EVERY OTHER SCHOOL in the country had turned us down or is not available, so let's reach out to mighty FB powerhouse Rice, and then maybe, just maybe, let's take the little Ponies out of pity". At least that is how it reads to me. Personally, I don't think we are looking to be the last kid standing waiting to be picked in gym class. But your point is well taken, it is a mention nonetheless. Again, not the kind of mention that screams of solid support.

i like to be compared to rice-academically. rice will always be what they are athletically. they have no desire to improve. and there band is horrible.
Put two mares in heat in front of those geldings and wait for their heads to explode. Then bring in Peruna and a stool for him to climb on to show them how to take care of bidness.

Refresh my memory, who was on board with the geldings over Peruna in the first place?

For the records, I've always been for Peruna and never wanted the geldings. Look it up.

That would be Rice 9, SMU 6. For a winning percentage of 40% for the Mustangs since 1996.
