What if UConn & Rutgers go ACC, taking them to 16. Clemson goes SEC, lowering it to 15. USF goes ACC back to 16. ACC 16, BE 0, SEC 14, Big 12 14.
Yeah, yeah, I know three steps ahead...

Yep. The BE as we know it is dead. Missouri can't kill the B12, only UT and OU can do that. The BE may reform like Stallion has posted, but that is essentially a new conference. Only the BE in name. Actually looks like a pretty good conference. Could rival the current BE in a couple of years.

Even if they don't want to move up from FCS, can we still get Texas Southern's band. I want to see SMU's band "get down."

So if the Big East implodes and if TCU goes back to MWC... does the MWC get the Big East's AQ BCS spot?
Mwc conf is ranked higher than big east, and only slightly behind acc and big10

bottom line in all of this is that TCU is thinking "what in the world have we done?"

The Big East has BCS status. The top schools of MWC and CUSA want to have BCS status and shed the light weights (Rice, etc). Instead of merging MWC and CUSA which would include lots of dead weight, the best can simply move to the Big East. This would be the best way to ensure BCS status without the too much dead weight and I doubt the NCAA is willing to fight the lawsuit to strip the (New) Big East of BCS status with the new level of competition remaking the Big East as a respectful football contender.
Let the Big East die so we can move in an rebuild it.

South Florida may well be the Big East after this is done. I think the Big East would have a difficult time arguing they should retain AQ when only one team remains. The Big East private BB schools make sense-none of these other schools have anything in common-its time for a divorce. Everyone will be better off

let Missou go the the SEC
let the Big XII invite BYU, Louisville, Cincy and W. Virginia to get back to 12 members
let TCU and USF become part of the CUSA/MWC group that gains AQ status and looks like this:
MWC Pacific: Hawaii, SDSU, Fresno, Boise, UNLV, Nevada MWC Mountain: Wyoming, Utah St, AFA, CSU, UNM, UTEP (might need to flip Utah St & Boise)
CUSA West: Tulsa, SMU, TCU, Houston, Rice, Tulane CUSA East: USM, Memphis, UAB, ECU, UCF, USF
Marshall returns to the MAC to rekindle their regional rivalries

OK...Marshall says no and the current CUSA expands to 14 members by adding TCU in the west and USF in the east...or would TCU prefer to just return to the MWC with helmet in hand?

Well since I thought USF would be the last team standing in Big East-I assumed they would be Big 12
