Re: This Signature Win will boost recruting for surein that article he was talking about last year. SMU probably required him to graduate from JUCO this year since he flunked out last year. Guess what nobody else offered him a scholarship last year either and I'm not sure he could have been eligible. I don't remember any stories that SMU didn't have space for him in the upcoming class

Re: This Signature Win will boost recruting for sureBTW Collins is 2nd in the SW JUCO Conference with 28 catches for 305 yards. Its doesn't look like his QB is a very prolific passer though

Re: This Signature Win will boost recruting for surehe was trying to get admitted to SMU for the 2011 season but neither SMU nor anyone else offered him for 2011 probably because of his transcript after flunking out. He is still playing in JUCO now-and he committed to TCU for the 2012 Class. He hasn't even signed with TCU yet-neither has Collins. Both Collins and Gamble would still be availiable if they wanted to change their minds before the December signing date. Here is a quote from that Rivals article:
"Although SMU decided not to bring Gamble back this fall, according to him an invitation was extended for him to arrive in December. However, he is happy with his commitment to TCU and ready to compete in the spring. He will have three years to play two."
