JJ's "optimal" team at Hawaii was probably 2006, even though it lost a few games. His stated philosophy was for the defense to quickly get the ball back for the offense -- and that's by either forcing a punt, getting a turnover or or giving up a score. JJ said as long as his offense gets one more possession than the other team, his team will win.
