I have to agree that you can't base conference selection on one game, but, you also can't base conference selection on just one decade. TCU was insignificant for so long prior to Francione and Tomlinson.

I don't see anything that makes TCU any better than SMU when you look at the entire athletic picture; Fan base, TV market, name recognition, commitment to athletics, etc. But when you look at endowment, academics, alumni financial support, there is no comparison. Heck, we even have a presidential library being built ON our campus.

NOW we are starting to make noise with our football team and people are noticing and are welcoming the Mustangs back. We were our own worse enemy and we looked in the mirror.
