Would things be any worse if Cavan was still the coach at SMU? There hasn't been one aspect of this team's play that has improved since he was fired. The only difference right now is that we are paying a lot more money to the head coach to deliver the same results. After these last two games, there is absolutely nothing to think that anything will be any different next year, except that having a losing team full of freshmen and sophomores, we will have a losing team full of sophomores and juniors. It sure was a lot more fun going to football games back in 1989!!! Hard to believe that 15 years after football resumed, SMU would be fielding a team that will be lucky to win as many games as the 89 team did. How many points did they come back from against UCONN?

Listen to the Ticket much? Read the DMN often?
At least be more original than these sources. I can access those sources easily enough.

Cavan was fired to deflect criticism from the Athletic Director and administration so that all of you would continue to buy your season tickets and pay your Mustang Club dues instead of actually making the changes necessary to make this a competitive program.

Yes. With Coach Bennett, we have quality athletes who give us hope for the future. Under the previous coaching staff, those players were few and far between. (I rooted like hell for them, because they're the ones out there busting their rumps for us every Saturday, but there are more good athletes playing for us today .... or at least redshirting.) Nothing? Let's see: a healthy Chris Phillips (either starting or as a dangerous reserve - either way). Cory Muse. D.D. Lee. Reggie Carrington. Kendall Mouton. Vincent Chase. Jessie Henderson. DeMyron Martin. Sean Lobo. LaCori Johnson. Kyle Griffin. Andrew McKinney. You're right. No talent there. No reason for hope. PonySnob wrote: .... It never fails.....Stallion once again feels he must demean the members of the SMU Mustang Club for donating their money to a club designed to support the Mustangs.
Man, what a guy will say to remain in denial about his being a "tight wad".
Let it be known that Stallion implies that if you give to SMU via the Mustang Club you are an idiot.
