Little man ya, we also beat tcu something like 24 out of 26 years until we got the death penalty. tcu has been good for the past several years and honestly, I respect what they have done. However, contrary to most of your beliefs, tcu did not invent football.

I try to take the high road with all the anti-GP stuff (well, most of the time). But if he's really spewing this b.s. that's usually reserved for a message board game thread, this p.o.s. is a cancer upon college football.

-refs didnt call a helmet to helmet on J Johnson
-refs didnt call a hold when T Thompson was talked on their only decent run of the game
-refs didnt call an obvious pass interference on two guys mugging J Johnson that led to their interception
-refs did nothing when our guy was punched; in fact, they flagged our guy

and

-refs didnt smack TCU's return guy in the mouth, that was Zach Line
-refs didnt pick apart TCU's D in the opening drive, that was JJ McD

and
-refs didnt drop a pass with no one within 5 yards on the last play of overtime, that was his own player

and
-refs weren't the ones yelling to an 8-year old kid & his dad walking on the sidewalk "SMU SUCKS!" driving by in a truck, it was their punk [deleted] fans.

To the TCU trolls who are reading this, I have always said, you are only as good as your last game. In that game your team sucked. There were some bad calls both ways, I think we all can agree on that, but the refs had nothing to do with our receivers streaking down the middle of your field. The refs had nothing to do with our O-line giving our QB time to light up your defense and the score board. The refs had nothing to do with your receiver dropping a pass in overtime.

And for all of you who are [deleted] about the SMU chants during your alma mater, address that complaint with your band for not playing loudly enough to drown out the 400-500 SMU fans who lead that chant or your PA announcer for not announcing that the band was playing. He could have easily said "And its time for the T...C... Youuuuuuuuuuuu Almaaaaaaaaaa Materrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" We would have laughed but been respectful. Get a life and leave our board. Go stroke the little fat man's ego while we [deleted] about our coach getting lei'd.

Some quotes from GP on the Star-Telegram page now. Slightly different than what's being reported here, but the flavor is basically the same. The quotes printed in the Star Telegram are a little more on the whiney side and a little less overtly hostile than what I've seen here.

Either GP is: (1) a raving loose cannon; or (2) he knows what he's doing. I'm inclined to think that GP wouldn't have accomplished everything he has at TCU if he was the former. So I assume he knows what he's doing.

I can't say I've followed GP's press conferences with regularity, but my guess is that its not his usual practice to directly respond to comments made by 20-year-old kids (Darius Johnson). My assumption is that he's motivating his guys because he knows Darius will be out there for next year's game.
