Thanks for the welcome. My Dad played at SMU in the early 70's so as you can imagine I was an SMU fanatic. I went to school at A&M but I still make it to a couple of SMU games each year.

Are you Robert Popelka's kid? I was a teammate of Pop-A-Lick as we called him. If I am correct, please tell him Mark Rydel says hello. He was a great player for us.

Mark, I will tell my Dad you said hello. I know he will like hearing from you. I love the stories he tells about his playing days. One of my favorites is one of your assistant coaches uses to stir up the dust when you guys were practicing under the stands at Ownby(?) He really was not sure why but it makes for a good laugh.
