Re: Big East Coach - "The Big East is finished"
yeah, but you have to read the other new thread.
Re: Big East Coach - "The Big East is finished"that's okay, we're joining the SEC
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Big East Coach - "The Big East is finished"That's gotta be Calhoun. He's been trying to get UConn to leave the Big East for ANYWHERE for awhile now.

Re: Big East Coach - "The Big East is finished"Would SMU be able to keep up with the SEC academically speaking, or would SMU have to pass a Ricky Bobby SAT?
2015 INDIANAPOLIS OR BUST
Re: Big East Coach - "The Big East is finished"
We are? Hmmm ... I saw where someone talked to someone else, but we're on the move? Missed that. Call me skeptical but at least curious.
Re: Big East Coach - "The Big East is finished"Right. So was I. Or maybe tongue-in-cheek. One or the other.
Hope the talk about a Big East collapse is just that: talk. I have a gut feeling that's the most likely conference to come through with an invitation, and it would suck to get the invitation from a conference with a limited (financial) future.
Re: Big East Coach - "The Big East is finished"Big East will always be around because of basketball. They aren't at risk of losing BCS status until 2014, and even then, what other conference would surpass them? An invite now still gets us AQ and BCS money.
If the worst happens, and they get raided by Big 12, you'd likely still have USF, Rutgers, and UConn. I don't think the ACC expands again yet, but let's say they take Rutgers and UConn. Big East backfills with top tier CUSA/MWC schools, academies, Temple. I'd love for TCU to stay, but chances are in this scenario Big12 will take them. You'd have: USF UCF SMU UH ECU Army Navy Temple Maybe add: Boise/AFA/USM/Marshall
