Okay, PonyFans, how does this work. If I understand correctly we'd then have:

JJ
Kyle Padron
That kid from St Louis (Kaiser?)
That kid from California

and then the kid coming in from Georgia in two years. I don't know how the system works in college, but in the pros that would be a lot of qbs!

McDermott is gone after this year. Gilbert has to sit out a year most likely. Padron and Preston are the ones that are here next year.

What would Gilbert coming to SMU have to do with padron? They will never compete with each other for playing time.

he gets to be sandwiched

Interesting quote from a UT fan.

"June would have to coach this kid up a lot if he is going to see the field. Arm Strength - A+ Ability to go through progressions - F He Eye F*cks his receiver and lets it fly, not matter the coverage, no matter the other reads on the play."
"We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

In two years, you'd have Kaiser, Conner, Gilbert & Printz and any qb we might sign in 2012. I'd prefer we take one this year and have five in 2014.
