SMU Post Death Penalty All Star TeamFor the Bye Week why don't we put together a post death penalty SMU all star team
2 RBs 1 QB 1 TE 4 OL 3 WR 4 DL 3 LB 4 DB Punter Placekicker
OK, let's see here ....
QB: Ramon Flanigan RB: Keylon Kincade, Rodnick Phillips WR: Jason Wolf, Chris Cunningham, Albert Johnson TE: John Hampton OL: Brannon Kidd, Austin Adami, Keith Chiles, Steve Reindl, Tré Giller DL: Luke Johnson, Kevin Aldridge, Chad Patton .... Jason Evans? LB: Bill Keily, Chris Bordano, Craig Swann DB: Kevin Garrett, Marcello Simmons, Cary Brabham, Jacoby Rhinehart PK: Jon Stewart P: Byron Foss?
You're right. Although it was off the top of my head .... throw Womack in there for one of the RB spots.
And the great Mike Bowen belongs on there, too.
I was never a big Ramon F. guy (like Sassar, a bunch of stats, but....)...give me Danny Freiburger any day..LOVED that '92 team!! Donte, for sure....Hernandez was a preety good PK...I want Mick Rossley on the field, somewhere....Bill Kiely as TEAM CAPTAIN.....long live Korey Beard.
RB = Keylon Kincade, ShanDerrick Charles
QB = Mike Romo TE = Mick Rossley WR = Korey Beard, Chris Cunningham, Chris Foster OL = Austin Adami, Brad Kieschnick, Sterling Harris LB = Vic Vilora, Chris Bordano, Craig Swann DL - Chad Patton, Adam Voyles, Chase Schavrda, Jason Holz DB = Rolando Humphrey, Jonas Rutledge, Kevin Garrett, Marcello Simmons PK = McMurtray Geaux MUSTANGS! Geaux Tigers!
Re:
Mick Rossley was a WR, not a TE. Chris Foster looks like he'll be damn good, but on this list already? His career's 6 games old -- that's a little early for me. Pretty good list, though (except I'm not so sure about your DLs. Chad Patton was great, but shouldn't Luke Johnson, Uzo Okeke, Aldridge, Adami, etc., be on there ahead of Voyles and Chase Schavrda?) McMurtray over Stewart? Maybe you're right - he's been good this year. (But wasn't Stewart an All-America?) Fearless prediction for current players who will make that list if we re-address this question in 4-5 years: Ryan Kennedy Darrin Johnson Cory Muse Brandon Jones
Re:
Wow, that's quite a statement. Ramon before the injury on the first play of the Arkansas game was as big a game changer as any in the conference. With Ramon in the game we always had the chance to win. He's my choice for post DP MVP.

I actually meant to put Holz with the OLs and list Johnson as DL. By the way, I knew I would get flack for putting Rossley at TE, but the guy would've been a tight end in anything but the "run and shoot." He was big (and good). Geaux MUSTANGS! Geaux Tigers!
