Nacho, we are the only school in Texas that can compete head-to-head with UT. If we had SEC membership, I would almost give us a slight to moderate advantage, especially since UT watered down the Big 12.
Still absolutely no confirmation outside of EJ's tweet. As a PonyPride subscriber I can say this kid has been very reliable and accurate in his reporting. But I agree I have a hard time believing he is breaking this story with as many ears are to the ground regarding conference realignment.

He wouldn't and hasn't before. This kid is getting absolutely blasted on twitter. He wouldn't have said something if he didn't think there was a bit of truth to it.
