I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't like the idea of us joining the Big East in any of its iterations. I really would prefer to stay C-USA for another couple of years and then see how it shakes out. Pac-16, baby!!!

Don't you think the PAC 12 would be more likely to take a team from an AQ conference. Step by Step. Plus CUSA is going to get raided one way or another. It is going to be much weaker.

This is pretty funny. I go away for a couple of hours to play golf, I mean work, and I cone back to people wanting to forgo the BE and its AQ status. The BE taking a bunch of [deleted] teams, for whatever reason. And SMU getting screwed again.

The only constant thing on this board is SMT trying to jump off a building before the sky collapses on top of him.

Wow. Guess I won't disappear for that long again.

I agree...I was off for hours and then check in and it's TOTALLY another scenario.....chicken little all over again....wake me up when its over....

regardless of how it shakes out, we're still in dallas, smack dab in the middle of the country. in a huge TV market, in Texas recruiting hotbed. i'd rather be in the BE for a few years than still floundering around CUSA.

Not a fan of playing in the BE. But it's a conference we could compete right away and win out in. Which means we play in a BCS sooner. That makes SMU a valuable conference mate to some conference.

And our on campus basketball revenues would go up immensely as SMU would fill the Moody to play great BE teams!
