I've noticed Nevada'a slide, too. So much for the return of legendary Coach Ault rekindling enthusism for the program in Reno...or could it be they've had horrible game day weather and are actually counting tickets torn?

I wonder if we will have 7,000 at the Nevada game?

now Utah St fans report on the WAC Forum that their "sellout" against Utah actually resulted in only 19,000 under NCAA calculations. 30,000 capacity. Come'on Big Jim let's see the real figures-my inclination is that many on this board have used their free tickets from season tickets. IThe most illuminating stat of the week is that Rice has now played before 11,000 fans total in their last two road games-5,500 per game at San Jose and Nevada.

I would truly love to know what the real, audited, butts-in-seats attendance numbers are for SMU, but I doubt the fear of a panic-stricken mob (of approximately 1,500) on their hands will ever let the powers that be release that information.

It really won't make any difference if they post the audited numbers or not. Either we have enough to pass NCAA muster or we don't. If we don't, we will know soon enough.

more interesting would be SMU paid butts in seats. I would guesstimate that for the season SMU might average as low as 7,500 per game if you took away our opponents.

..you know, to soften this thing, and get some positive pub...maybe we could put the NCAA Director of Attendance Compliance's picture on our football helmets??
