We are ahead of both TCU and Houston, at number 5. 1) Baylor There isn’t a player in the country more fun to watch than Robert Griffin III. 2) Texas A&M The state’s most talented team made progress by not blowing a double-digit lead in Lubbock. 3) Texas With no quarterback or cornerbacks, you can’t compete for Big 12 title. 4) Texas Tech Wait, wasn’t the defense supposed to get better after Mike Leach left? 5) SMU Big 12 didn’t bite, but June Jones could be building Conference USA juggernaut. 6) TCU Rebuilding Frogs rebounded from SMU loss with strong road win over San Diego State. 7) Houston Close wins over two bad teams (Louisiana Tech and UTEP) are held against undefeated Cougars. Rice Owls would top the band rankings, if that makes them feel better. 9t) North Texas A two-game home winning streak at a beautiful new stadium is major progress for Mean Green. 9t) UTEP Miners would probably beat UNT, but I refuse to rank my alma mater 10th after a win. http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/colleges ... l-rankings
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

I can't help but laugh at the fact that Rice got the smiley when you copied the text over.

UTEP would lay the smackdown on UNT and would most certainly be competitive with Rice

Tough ranking for that Houston team. I'd put them at 4.

Yeah, they are much better than Tulane University. Come on guys, calling Texas "tu" is far too Aggy for us to do it. We are better educated than that.

Why do people call Texas TU? It's definitely not Texas University.

Mustang Band upperclassmen burned that into our heads at a very early stage of orientation a few decades ago. Not sure when you attended school/graduated, but it's been around a bit and is not just aggy. But if it makes you feel better, Houston would donkey-punch UT.
