Why would he leave Boise for Arizona? He can do better if he wanted to leave.

Stoops goes back to OU. One of the recruits I was wishing SMU would have a better chance at was Devian Shelton. #26 corner in the nation. I know he showed some interest after the 7 on 7 held at SMU

Wasted ink putting Peterson on that page. He could get any job in the country, he isn't going to Arizona.

sorta disagree. it's always a possibility, and stranger things have happened (hmmm.....JJ to SMU, anyone?).

- Petersen could go anywhere, but he seems to be a west coast kinda guy (college and coaching at UC-Davis), so Arizona could fit. (UCLA, too, after they fire Neuheisel).
- Petersen is supposedly old friends with Arizona's AD.
- Petersen is only being paid $1.6 million this year (that's after his latest raise). Arizona might be willing to dig deeper than Boise, as would others.
- Playing in the Pac12 gives Petersen the opportunity to play against the kind of quality teams that have been avoiding him (he has to have some ego, like every other head coach).
- Tucson is a smallish town that might have similarities to Boise, assuming that he enjoys that kind of setting.
