Good lord, man. Looks like the basketball schools and Mizzou are holding things hostage.

Big 12 anyone?

The Big East is looking extremely shaky and dysfunctional right now. I'm starting to wonder if its our best bet.

And yes, I too see the SEC as the necessary end-game goal for SMU.

Hahah the story changes by the hour. Someone tell StallionModelT to stay away for a couple of weeks (or months) until we can give him a solid answer.

With Mizzou up in the air it's probably prudent for the Big East to take a wait and see approach.

Any ideas on Mizzou's timeline for making up their mind?

there is so much to decide....we are so secretive about everything. I'm sure we have something beneficial up our sleeve

i agree with you...no point in discussing any of this. we have no new credible info for us, MIZZOU, or anyone else...we should just focus on the game at hand. (and wait for an SEC invite...)

Either we go to the Big East, or CUSA stays the same. Maybe even it gets better. Either way, we just keep winning, get some more fans, build an IPF, and we'll be fine. We've made the commitment. Can't rest, have to keep working, but the world isn't going to fall apart this week or next.

I think it's fair to say the question has been answered that no, Turner isn't going to torpedo our athletic future, and yes, our administration is trying to do what's best for this school, and this school only, and no, Orsini isn't some b00b sitting in his office eating peanut butter off his thumb while searching Monster.com for the next AD opening.

Go to the game Saturday, bring a friend, have a ton of beers, and watch SMU beat UCF.
