Colleges haven’t given up on Lassiter quarterback Eddie Printz, who is one of the state’s top juniors who has committed to SMU. Vanderbilt offered this week, and several other schools, including South Carolina, are interested.

I'm sure Vandy will sell him on being a prestigious university with high academics, and forget to mention how they cluster most of their athletes into one or two joke majors. At SMU he can actually major in what ever he wants to. We have "athlete friendly" majors, but they are by no means a requirement, only an option.

Morestead came in for Engineering and walked on. So did BLM at first (EMIS but close enough)

EMIS is engineering (it is also in the school), it has a wide range of possibilities, more social/mangement to very mathematical. A good field for SMU to have overall as more and more schools build programs in the new fields of quantitative decision sciences as that is a growing demand for business. Its good to been on the cusp of innovation along with schools such as Northwestern and Carnegie Mellon.

Wonder why Printz not listed on Dave Campbell texasfootball.com as a 2013 commit. Other school's are. Let's get that corrected.

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong but It is my understanding that a student cannot get an undergraduate degree in business at Vandy. Same with Duke, Harvard, etc. At these schools students can only get an undergraduate degree in economics.

By contrast, at SMU a student CAN get an undergraduate degree in business.
