I need some help

Postby Dutch » Fri Oct 29, 2004 2:32 pm

I've got a photo that was emailed to me from an smu alum serving in Iraq that pertains to SMU spirit. I sent it to the webmaster, but never saw it posted. I've tried to post it, but i'm not the most computer literate person around. Could someone please tell me exactly how to post a photograph on this site.

if someone knows how and wouldn't mind posting it, P.M. me and I'll forward it to you.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

The image needs to be hosted on another site. I believe you can use a personal geocities, tripod, etc. page. Then you just click the "Img" button, copy and paste the full location of the picture (http://www.whatever.com/mypicture.jpg), then click the "Img" button again.

I can only give you partial help. In order for anyone at anytime to be able to see your posted photo, it has to be located at a url that is on-line 24/7. In other words, you could click on the photo on your computer and get it's url and post that here, but it would only be available for people to see when you were on-line on the internet. Someone a while back talked about a free 24/7 site where you could "park/store" your photo. You could then use the url for your photo at that site to post on this site. You might want to do a search on the internet for photo sites and see what you can find. There are a lot of sites available, but most of them require an annual fee.

It would be nice if PonyFans had a place where we could store our photos for use in our posts.

BTW, once you have a useable url for your photo, just click on the "post reply" icon and then click on the " Img" icon at the top of the page, enter the url, and then click on the "Img" icon again and submit the post...it should show up as your post.
