Re: Sterling HarrisOh and Rogers is not a TCU fan!!! That is pretty low and you better mean it very sincerely if you are gonna say it.
Re: Sterling Harrisponystudent, you could be right regarding harris. but then again, we were presenting another side that could be true. i know some guys that do the 6:30 workout. i really can't believe every single one is in some kind of trouble.
Re: Sterling HarrisYes, there are squad members who do come in and lift weights at 6:30am as part of our normal offseason schedule. Sterling was here for breaking team rules though. Normally "Mustang Reminders" are only a day or two but from what I heard Sterling and another player were told by Coach Bennett that he'd let them know when they were done. They went at it for about a month straight.
Re: Sterling HarrisJust wanted to let everyone know thta I just returned from that 6:30 workout and I have not been in trouble once. All players are required to come and workout in the morings unless they have an early class, in which case they must come at some point later in the day before conditioning in the afternoon. Oh and Sterling no longer has to do Mustang Reminders b/c whatever his punishment was for has ended from what I was told.
Re: Sterling HarrisBraginator, see post above your last one!
Re: Sterling HarrisI like Braginator's opinion. I hope Sterling is working his tail off and shows us all why he was so highly regarded coming out of Terrell HS.
Re: Sterling HarrisHoss, thanks for your support it is nice to see that someone values my opinion on the matter.
Re: Sterling HarrisHarris is working hard, but he doesn't seem to be improving. We'll see how he does in spring ball.
Re: Sterling HarrisSterling's size and strength have never been in question. He has the frame to be a monster. But until he changes his demeanor, he'll be stuck in limbo. Look at NFL linemen like Kyle Turley and the recently-retired Steve Wisniewski .... they viewed every defensive lineman who lines up across from them as a mortal enemy, and view any advances toward their quarterbacks and running backs as a personal insult. They are/were brawlers extraordinaire. There were stories going around that when Luke Johnson and other SMU defensive linemen beat Sterling in practice, or hit him particularly hard, that he would get upset and absolutely annihilate people for the next few plays .... only to subsequently relax. Hope the new O-line coach can figure out how to tap into that anger and make Sterling a great player. He clearly has confidence in his body and ability (didn't he claim that Cavan's decision not to start him was hurting his "draft status"?) Now we just need the production. If he emerges, he can go a long way toward solidifying the offensive line.

Re: Sterling HarrisThis goes along with my post under "Defensive Tackles" - I hear Sterling has worked his tail off and has dropped 25 pounds. A lot of us (myself included) harped in the past on his need for more mobility. Maybe this will allow that to happen.
