For those going, let's meet at the END ZONE around 4:30-5pm or whenever you can get there. Looks very close to the stadium. Sports bar / full-bar with TV's to watch games.

As you know I am strange, but I click the online version of the Ticket even if the game is on tv

that actually helps b/c they can track online use, unless you've got a TV ratings box, it doesn't make a bit of a difference

I am flying on Southwest to New Orleans Sat morning (early for me). Ck in Hotel across from Quarter. Drive to USM go to our pre-game gathering at the End Zone followed by a Big Victory! Drive back to New Orleans -90 miles. Im sure French Quarter will STILL be open to celebrate SMU 's WIN. Then Thomas Morstead (former SMU kicker) has invited me to go to the Saints-Colts game Sun night! Oh yes there will be 2 Ranger World Series wins to celebrate as well. Home Mon to watch World Series (if necessary)!!! I love my life!!
Sounds like fun...I hope alot of people can come. It will be an important game. If you can't make the trip ...just bring a guest(s) to the next home game.

End Zone is a safe bet. Will be able to watch any game that you'd like to and is a very short walk to stadium.

Also, a little younger crowd might be right down the service road at Old Athens, La Fiesta, or Larouge.

There's also Mugshots (great hamburger), Buffalo Wild Wings, Caliente right near campus.

Also, 2 big USM fan hangouts are Gold Pub and Keg & Barrel which are just a short drive down Hardy St.

Of course, you are always welcome to come tailgate with us over near Centennial Lawn, as you would be welcome at almost any USM fans... (not the district--student tailgating.)

The End Zone is within walking distance of the stadium. It is your typical college beer joint. Nothing fancy, that is for sure. For those of you making the game, make sure and hit the tailgating early. You will be impressed with the friendly attitude towards our visitors by those tailgating. You will be offered beverages and food. Be sure and walk the campus. The game day environment has really boomed the last four or five years. We treat our visitors with respect and thank them for making the trip. I hope you all have a safe trip and enjoy your visit. The weather is going to be awesome.

I'm planning on making the trip with my 9 year old son. Is there going to be a kid-friendly tailgate before the game?

since there isn't a MC tent, I guess these So Miss guys might have an idea for you for kid friendly. the End Zone is a sports bar/rest.
