Bottom line, it sounds like it's in the works, clearly there are some complications, and w/ BigE BBall media day coming up they might want to focus on that right now. I'll have to wait a couple years to see SMU at the Garden in March so a couple days is no big.

I feel like there's been such a huge shift from yesterday. It was all so definite and tidy yesterday and now it seems like we're about to be left out.

I don't see how Air Force would join with a legit shot at the Big [Gary Patterson] XII. There is a difference: yesterday was Sunday, today is Monday. And none of this is going to go down til after the BBall Media Day on Wednesday. So, we all have two full days to climb to the rooftop of the highest building so we are prepared to either celebrate our acceptance of a BE offer, or jump en masse. I still have a feeling that everything will workout the way the Big East had planned... but I am a bit more concerned now. I hate all these conditional invitations. Just invite us in already, god damn it.

I would say that a lot of us were over-simplfying our thoughts on this issue, and the panic we are now feeling is a direct result getting [gary pettersoned] for the past 25 years, thus creating "the culture of losing." I'm not saying be optimistic, the inept AD and administration at Mizzou are creating chaos, but the BE will stick around with or without Louisville, WVU, and Cincy. If those three teams go, and i doubt all three do, Notre Dame loves its independence too much to let the conference die. If two go, BE should still end up with Boise, SMU, UH, UCF, Navy and AFA and will add some combination of Temple, ECU, and maybe a Tulsa or USM. Would still be a solid conference.

Step back from the ledge people. Stay near it, but step back. The BE has Notre Dame on their side and they, therefore we, have the Pope and Touchdown Jesus.
