Re: CFN: 2011 C-USA Midseason Recap
3 Biggest Surprises
1. SMU over ranked TCU in overtime, 40-33, for the Iron Skillet.
2. Rice’s upset of Purdue on a blocked Carson Wiggs to snap a 21-game losing streak versus BCS conference programs.
3. Marshall over Louisville at PapaJohn’s Stadium as a double-digit underdog.
3 Biggest Disappointments
1. East Carolina QB Dominique Davis.
2. UCF’s back-to-back losses to Florida International and BYU after throttling Boston College.
3. The Tulsa offense.
The C-USA Champion Will Be ... UCF over Houston
Best Game of the First Half
Oct. 1 – SMU 40, TCU 33 OT
Worst Game of the First Half
Sept. 24 – Houston 56, Georgia State 0
Coach of the Midseason
Larry Fedora, Southern Miss
Best Performance So Far
On Sept. 29, Houston QB Case Keenum helped avoid the upset bid of UTEP in El Paso by going 30-of-46 for 471 yards, two touchdown passes and no interceptions.
Top Freshman
Jeremy Grove, LB East Carolina
3 Big Calls For The Second Half
1. Houston will lose a game that it shouldn’t because of the play of its leaky defense.
2. For the second straight season, Tulsa will rally around QB G.J. Kinne to once again finish the year as hot as any team in Conference USA.
3. Courtesy of a strong second half, Rice QB Taylor McHargue will enter the offseason as one of the league’s hottest young stars.
Best Remaining Conference Game
SMU at Houston, Nov. 19

Need to put DJ in bold along with Line and Beachum!
Re: CFN: 2011 C-USA Midseason Recap
So we have the second best defense in C-USA and only have 1 kid on the all-defense list? UH on the other hand has one of the worst Defenses and has two?

this doesn't seem to make sense. we thumped UCF, and they are expecting UCF to beat Houston, which means they believe we would lose to Houston/UCF.
just rambling. I'm believing a totally different outcome, of course.
