isn't the sunbelt already watered down? are they bowl eligible?
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

UNT is a growing child in a big boy's world. He is the kid in little league struggling to get the bat on the ball, but in a few years could be a home run champ... Why? Because they have 28,283 undergrads, beautiful new stadium, in the DFW Market, will soon be considered a more traditional D1 FBS program compared to Texas State and UTSA, a decent history (ex. Mean Joe Green), I give them 10 years and they will be an exponentially better program than they are now... If I am Britton Banowsky and I am about to lose my biggest Texas markets to the Big East... Then North Texas is my next play... Buy low, sell high (in Banowsky's case, buy low, once your teams get high, they leave and go to a better conference)... Regardless they are the best investment in College Football for a Non AQ conference right now...
Denton is too far away to be considered DFW proper. I have lived in Dallas for ten years and I've been to Denton maybe twice. No one from Dallas is going to go all the way out there to watch a meaningless football game.
And no. They are not "the best investment in non AQ football". I can think of SEVERAL before I get to UNT such as:
Hawaii Nevada Fresno State UTSA Southern Miss ECU FAU Colorado State

There are probably several others I'm forgetting.
Let me clear things up, I mean investment for MW and C-USA to poach teams form MAC and Sun Belt...And if they are not a DFW area team, then why is their logo on the ESPN Dallas Blog Nav Bar next to SMU and TCU???
CUSA and the MWC would be wise to stay at 9-10 members each of they are going to go through with the "merger" and championship game between the 2 league champs. I personally like 9 teams for even home/home scheduling but going to 10 members and 9 conference games does make non-conference scheduling easier
MWC adds Utah State to get to 9
If Big East loses 1 or 2 (Louisville and/or WV) and CUSA then loses ECU and/or Memphis, La Tech would be my 1st choice but they may want to retain a FL presence and FIU looks the most attractive today. Can't rule out UNT, Arky State, MTSU or Troy
