Why does Copeland Want to Hire Burns?

I throw up my hands at this question. Last weekend, we are held scoreless for the second time this season. When things like that happen, you simply do not promote the OC to become the Head Coach. I have nothing against Rusty, I think he works harder than Bennett. C'mon Copeland, please hire someone with something more than Cincinnati on the resume sheet (aka Charlie Waters).

Goodness. I thought for a minute you were talking about the infamous Keith Burns. While he is doing a marvelous job with the defense at SJSU (LOL), I would advise you to stay away from him.

As to your own "Burns"-- if the team is struggling and you are going to look for a new HC, it is my opinion that the replacement should not come from within the current staff. JMHO.

TUFAN, I know you are somewhat new to the board. But please, do not give Copeland any ideas. Hiring someone from SJSU is right up his alley!!
I know it sounds irrational, but he wants to hire the OC from the current team if he chooses to fire Bennett. We have been shutout two games this year.

Yeah-- I try to read a lot...especially all of the conference boards, but I don't always have a lot of time to post. I also try to post updates on basketball players when I have time, as I am all over the sites due to my husband's career.

None the less-- STAL-- it was not my intention to give ideas, but to suggest that it is a bad idea to hire from within...oh yeah, and that KB is a TERRIBLE idea.

Other than that, this thread is meaningless and invalid. Other than the K. Burns comments, I suppose.

TUFan and I were simply talking about the possibility of the OC (brought in by Copeland) taking over the program. If this idea is so radical, you should create a board where everyone just talks about how wonderful it is to have one win in two years. This board is for fans who want to see the team get better, not for idiotically calling people negative after getting beat 42-0. Sometimes, there are not a lot of positives (we love you Bobby!!)

If I could, I'd like to recommend Ken Burns. He made outstanding documentaries on baseball and the Civil War. Also, hs brother Ric Burns did a great one on New York.
