GETTING DEFENSIVE with Allan Adami: Time to take notice

Post by PonyPride »

Former SMU defensive lineman Allan Adami says that with the Mustangs riding a five-game winning streak, it's time for the Dallas community to pay attention to the Ponies.

SMU needs to get the ticketmaster list of everyone who has ever bought an SMU ticket and send this via email and snailmail.

SMU is seriously looking at hiring the season ticket marketing arm of a major, local NFL team instead of ticketmaster

Fantastic stuff. And it might be the best writing from a footballer I've ever seen. Needs to have wider circulation than pf though.

He is writing this to Dallas, but none of Dallas will see this!

Email it to the dmn as a letter to the editor. I'm sure Kate would pass it along

Going back to the original topic I have to comment that Allan Adami is a wonderful advocate for SMU football, and by extension, the University. I also hope his article reaches a wider audience.

This would make a great DMN editorial if a condensed version could be published in the paper.

My best Allan Adami memory is how happy he was running off the field with his hands raised after he picked off a ball.

My favorite memory was watching Allan throw up on opposing lineman....

Agreed. This is really good stuff.

Adami should send this to the DMN's Letters to the Editor section, too. They might trim it down, but Ol' #14 nails what needs to be said.
"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
