Time to pull in family favors

From Monday's DMN:

I know it's a longshot, but we need to figure out a way to get Irving HS coach Jim Bennett to steer RB Jamaal Evans to SMU to play for his brother. Last year Evans (5-9, 180) had 2,453 rushing yards and 28 TDs. Friday night, he put up another 358 yards and 6 rushing TDs on 36 carries (his second career game over 300 yards).

Other notes:
He wants to major in engineering.
He's a cousin of Irving WR Adron Tennell (6-5, 190, 4.4) and Irving Nimitz RB David Watkins.

How good would this guy (and Tennell) look in red & blue??????

I don't know. But I think I do remember reading that Tennell (6-5, 190 and fast) and Evans are related. We've got to keep that Irving-to-SMU pipeline flowing!
