Surprising, but I understand the motivation
According to a guy on tulane's athletic board, UT is pushing tulane as mizzou's replacement and is gaining significant traction with others including the Oklahoma schools as they all see it as a counter attack into sec country which will open up fertile Louisiana recruiting grounds. The catch for the schools other than UT is they think big 12 needs to be 12 again and want Louisville and BYU with tulane. Are we concerned about Louisville leaving big east as far as stability goes. Apologize if this has all been discussed.

They wouldn't win a conference game for 20 years.

Prefer Louisville stays, but they have pretty much stated they would be gone.
Big 12 pecking order
BYU
WVU
Louisville
Boise

That is what I thought to, but they are also one of the few aau institutions in play which is another reason UT is pushing them.

Unless they are countering a coming SEC encroachment into DFW
"I think Couchem is right."

UT doesn't care about AAU. If this is even a possibility, it's only because UT wants a walkover game....and if they go 12 and have divisions again to be able to send TCU to the north to thin out the south a bit.
