Re:
The NFL is run by a vast Left Wing Conspiracy!
So much for free speech and the right to assemble in the U.S. If you're a Kerry supporter and wanted to demonstrate outside of Moody, you were escorted off campus and put out on Mockingbird Lane. Since SMU is a private university, a Kerry supporter could be arrested for 'trespassing' on private property...although city streets and city sidewalks go thru the SMU campus where you could rightfully stand on the sidewalk and exercise your right to free speech and peaceful assembly.
I find it humorous and ironic that GWB is holding his final 'pep rally' on the SMU campus - scene of the infamous 'death penalty'? Maybe that will be an omen for his candidacy. "37"
Don't you mean so much for free speech and the right to protest at any political rally of either party for the past year? Both parties are guilty of encouraging local police to keep those who disagree far away from any event, regardless of that individual's rights.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
The Bush library at SMUMaybe the Bush appearance at Moody is a sign that SMU will get the presidential library.

Who cares? It's the Redskins for goodness sakes. ![]()
Re:You are correct. However, the Democratic party has been more tolerant of anti-Kerry protestors from what I've been able to see & hear. And I'm not happy about the fact that EITHER party acts this way. "37"
Re:
Really? What if a current student didn't support him - a student who lives on campus? There was some kind of Bush appearance a few years ago, and some objectors/protestors were allowed to stand across the street (in front of the fence around the intramural fields) with their signs, banners, etc. There weren't many of them (this is SMU, after all), and nobody caused any trouble. They stood there (in the rain, no less), held their signs up, took a little heckling from Bush supporters, and eventually called it a night. This move is a little disconcerting. Not that I want to see a bunch of protestors, but they do have that right.
Re:
Frost is a crook regardless of your political affiliation. The most recent evidence are his "no 30% Sessions sales tax" billboards. A blatant lie from the dirtiest of politicians. Go Sessions, De-Frost the Congress!
Today it will end for a few years. The cycle of election time will pass and the constent showing of the Bull Crap TV ads will be gone.
Frost is Frost - I really liked the Frost ad that told of Sessions Exposing himself. He ( Sessions ) does not have the moral athority to lead #32. I found out that it was... get this...... Streaking back in College. At least he may not be THAT consevative - Ha Ha I was active in politics for over a decade and now somewhat enjoy the SPIN of the season. When I got out last night there were a few student looking types milling around with some Kerry and/or anti-bush signs, but nobody who didn't look like they could be SMU students. Perhaps they allowed student protestors. Either way it is important for people to remember that first admendment rights are public rights - your right to free speach ends on my private property.
in 1972 Richard Nixon held a rally at Moody. I was an SMU student. I was handed a vote McGovern sticker and wrapped it up in my had. a bunch of guys were standing on either side of the entrance and demanded to see what was in my hand. when they saw it I was removed from the entrance way and told I was not welcome. I entered through another door way. point is all this time nothing has changed. politicians want to stack the deck with only people that support them at their rally.
I still have the sticker.
I know Pete Sessions personally, Bus. And if you knew him too you'd really like him. Again, regardless of your political stripe what we've got here is a dirty, dirty politician in Frost taking on a truly decent man in Sessions.
And you're well aware that the indecent exposure thing happened when Sessions joined a mass streak while in college. If you didn't streak in college, I'd question your moral capacities. Leave it to Frost to twist for political gain what was an innocent sowing of oats.
Ponyboy - I am not speaking up for Little Marty - I have met Pete at ESD football games and he was very kind to my niece, that he appointed to a military academy.
Pete is cool, I just have a different perception of political ads. The streaking thing is just TOO funny. Conservative ! Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
