I may not be remembering correctly, but isn't there some rule that your conference must have at least 5 schools who have played in the same conference for a certain number of years in order to retain your AQ status? I can't seem to find that rule anywhere today.
Point being...Big East is currently down to 6, which means only 1 more could be poached before they lose their BCS status. If Big 12 goes back to 12 and takes 2 or more after Mizzou leaves, Big East is out of BCS, no?
....of course they could change that rule when the BCS contract is renewed.

Big East defectors won't be leaving for 2 years... timing wise, I don't think it'll be an issue.
