Yahoo/Rivals Re: DC Ouch

Read this on Yahoo. Pretty good to us given all things. Amazing how different material get spread out so fast.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/SMU-walk-on-blasts-student-body-for-8216-pee-w;_ylt=Aq4GKFgucVcDCFHbXX8uacAcvrYF?urn=ncaaf-wp8372

"Those are some harsh words for a fan base that isn't used to having a good football team and quite honestly, isn't used to paying attention to SMU athletics as a whole."

SMU is going no where but up.

There are consequences to your actions thats what you need to learn in college. No one will disagree with the kid but he hurts the team and the school when you let emotions drive instead of your brain.

Perfect timing too with conference realignment. We torpedo ourselves. Where ya at "done deal" crowd? Tried to tell ya this was blowing up yesterday.

That is a very reasoned response to the DC op-ed.

SMT, you are a parody of a real person. A shock jock. To think a walk-on player writing this article would blow up our shot at the Big East is something a 11 year old would believe.

Bad timing, yes. But, as the Yahoo ed piece noted, this is a kid who probably doesn't fully grasp of appreciate what has gone down around SMU since 1987. The writer was quite kind to SMU. I too hate to see what has happened, but more winning will change attitudes.

At least the article kinda stood up for us. As Jerry would say, "there's no such thing as bad publicity"

Like I've said all along, complaining on here won't solve the problem. We're the ones already at the game.
