Turner \"not happy\"

I've gotten what I believe to be credible information that Turner is "not happy" with Bennett and the football program. Supposedly, he was also very upset with last season's performance and was getting some pressure to fire Bennett (at the end of last season).

I will qualify this by saying it comes from a person who spoke to a person very close to Turner. Take that for what it's worth, but I trust the source.

It will be interesting to see if this is enough to send Bennett packing. My guess is if we get blown out these next three games, Bennett will be gone.

Who knows? I'm just reporting the info as I get it.

Thanks for the information, but, if Turner is really unhappy, he needs to put pressure on the administration and the board of trustees to make the necessary changes needed to build a quality program.

They just don't get it. A quality D1 program builds interest in the university, helps with academic recruiting and creates national exposure. Dispose of the PYE model and create the necessary majors to recruit quality athletes. I hope we don't just fire the coach and bring in somebody else with handcuffs on.

Relax, Dr. Turner's on board. He'll stand up for the program. He knows the process. The money folk$ are embarrassed in front of their UT and OU friends, but they're not so embarrassed that they can OR WILL shell out a few million for a "Bob Stoops" to help their self-esteem. They don't have the intestinal fortitude to back the team so they tear it down.
