Top 3 Coaches Since the DP

1. Rossely
2. Darrell Dickey (OC for Cavan; if he were still here maybe Bennett wouldn't be)
3. Gregg

Worst - pretty easy: we all know who that is.

Forrest Greggg was the best if only because he brought along a good OC in Rossley.

I can never forgive Rossley for that loss to Missouri in '96. The most inexcusible performance by special teams in SMU history. It was on his watch. The way that game was lost exposes a head coach's shortcomings and his overall football philosophy more than anything. It was one of the lynch-pin moments in the re-start of a declining SMU football program. He had some very good recruiting classes, but no way I can put him higher than Forrest Gregg.

Well you shouldn't be that mad at him, because his 5-6 record cost him his job.

Had we not had the extra point blocked and returned for 2-pts, or made the 30 yard FG at the gun, he would have been the coach into this decade.

(the Utah and Navy games you can throw in as well)
