ND Considering Moving Non-Football Teams from BE
according to Chip Brown-their decision will come in next 60 days. Big 12 is courting ND's non-football teams

Re: ND Considering Moving Non-Football Teams from BE
The devil is tempting
Re: ND Considering Moving Non-Football Teams from BE
Others say that's bad news for remaining bball only schools
Re: ND Considering Moving Non-Football Teams from BE

Re: ND Considering Moving Non-Football Teams from BE
you got to think 3 steps ahead. Here's the deal. Notre Dame doesn't know if The Big 12 will tale 1 or 3 from the Big East, if any. The ACC still has 2 spots open and that could be UCONN and Rutgers-although probably not yet. If too many football programs leave, the Big East will have to backfill with schools like ECU, Southern Miss maybe Temple in addition to UCF, SMU, UH. At that point, Big East BB schools may just want to break from their Football schools because only a couple or more might be left-one of which USF has little cache with Big East BB schools. Such a break would considerably reduce Big East revenue

fan wrote:C'mon Stallion. You are a good poster but why do this? Do I really need to go into specs? Of course they are going to re-eval in 60 days. Chip is a mouthpiece of D. Dodds and so is going to try and get ND's attention by saying something like this.
Again, why did you post this?
Look all you fans that want to put your heads in the sand and pretend realignment is over should stay off the board and stop clicking on realignment post. SMU needs to carefully evaluate the multiple moving pieces. Are you really afraid to hear what actually might be happening

if there is one school i have confidence that S.O. is in communication with it's ND. I still think he wants the AD job there. a move for UCF & SMU bodes very well for that.
i'm sure he knows what's up. moreso than chipper.

I hate that the Big East still hasn't made a move (officially speaking). Every day that we hear nothing gets me closer and closer to the idea that the Big East might actually die. I still think we're good, but this is seriously disconcerting.

Chip Brown is just Dodd's little messenger boy

Re: ND Considering Moving Non-Football Teams from BE
every major fan forum for both conferences and teams in the Big 12 region will have similiar threads posted within 12 hours if not already. Its part of the puzzle and goes to the heart of the viability of the Big East FB/BB alliance

You obviously know nothing about nd....
Not gonna happen, certainly not in the big 12
