If the Big 12 raids the Big East for three additional programs, it will further diminish the Big East's basketball prestige. With the Big East in such a state, the Big 12 would be the stronger basketball conference. At this point, it would be advantageous for Notre Dame to shift conferences.

This would be advantageous to Big 12 because of the value in having Notre Dame in basketball, as well as for it creating two beneficial scenarios for the future:
1. Notre Dame becomes a member in all sports.
2. Notre Dame remains independent in football, and with the precedence of the conference having a basketball-only member already established, Texas similarly follows suit.

Doesn't matter. SMU is going to the SEC or Pac 12

Two Things Could Happen:
1. Private Big East BB schools could form their own Conference-what happens to Notre Dame's other sports
2. Notre Dame could look to another Conference for other sports. ACC and Big 10 have reportedly said No. UT and ND have had these discussion

How many ND fans want BB schedules with ECU, Southern Miss, UCF, USF, SMU and UH? How about Marshall and Tulsa too if ACC takes UCONN and Rutgers?
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

For non-football sports, if the above option, i.e. Big 12, is considered, then the Big 10 works best for ND. The quality of competition and proxmity is better to be regional.

i'm sure he knows what's up. moreso than chipper.

Two questions, will joining the Big XII for all sports give ND more money than the BE hoops and NCAA credits give them. If not, no soap. Second, look at ND's hoops roster. Lots of players from the BE map, not a lot from the Big XII (revised) map. In other words, games in DC, Philly, NY, Chicago, Milwaukee are important to their recruiting. The ACC would work for them. The Big XII would be a bad choice. Don't see it happened.

He spelled Jon wrong.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Big East looks to be toast. If it does survive, will it be AQ? We need another option.
