low man on totem pole can't see far. SEC will decide first, then Big 12, then Big East, then CUSA/MWC, then Sun Belt/MAC then WAC who will get SCREWED

Re: ESPN insider: SMU invite?
when will somebody come out and say that the cusa-mwc-big east merger is simply a way to keep the little guys in their place? espn acts like it is a done deal (and i'm sure they are pushing for it to be). how anyone could be happy about this arrangement is beyond me...a playoff to have 1 team out of 32 get a BCS game? and we split the money 32 ways? it is so idiotic and makes so little sense that it just might happen.
i know where smu sits on the conference food chain, and i was very happy and a little shocked when the big east came calling. I want big east, even if USF is the only team left standing. But at what point to the basketball schools break away? and if there is no bball, the big east loses some of its luster.
we stick with UH, Boise, and UCF...so wherever they go, i assume we go as well.

don't forget about Big 10 and ACC...they still have rutgers and uconn on their radar. it is like watching vultures eat a carcass. If ND leaves big east for non-fb sports, uconn and rutgers likely follow them.

Yeah quite frankly I think the two biggest surprise winners in this round look to be SMU and TCU if things stabalize

Still confident we end up a winner in this? I'm wondering what will be left aside from where we have now.
Not worried about the whole thing, but it's disappointing to see it moving around like it is now (WVU/Big 12/etc).

a big "if", but I agree. in this age of instant gratification, we all want it now. but i trust orsini (he may be responsible for 2 schools moving up to AQ) to know the landscape better than most.
