The more pertinent question being; just how much longer will this

annual series between TCU-SMU survive? Will the rigors of scheduling

allow for only occasional meetings? Much like the current scheduling

with Texas Tech and Baylor. The times they are a-changin'.

Hey Corp, did you incur brain damage when that piece of TCU's stadium collapsed?

TCU and SMU have not been in the same conference for over a decade now. They've found a way to keep the series alive (except for one year, which simply allowed the Skillet to stay in Dallas).

But I can understand why TCU is afraid to play SMU. You don't want that loss, so you will schedule a sure win like UL-Monroe.

The tie ins for Ticket City are C-USA #2 vs B1G #7. It could be at this point, Michigan,Iowa, Penn State, Illinois, ohio or heck maybe even Purdue or Northwestern. The Big Ten is wide open and from top to bottom, well terrible. I'd like to say mediocre but we just aren't very good right now. The absence of a truly strong Michigan (pretty good little team but they aren't exactly back to being Michigan yet) squad and the collapse in Columbus is really stinging the league. Wisconsin, Nebraska and Michigan State are all okay but not a one of them is anything but a pretender compared to the SEC schools. Either way it wouldn't really be a test for whoever comes out of C-USA. You'd just have a win over a mediocre to bad big name team not really a test of a program.
