San Diego State wants to join Big East

To increase its chances of joining a richer family, San Diego State recently passed a note to its latest crush.

This time, SDSU sent some information about itself to another league commissioner, the boss of the Big East Conference. The message was the same as the one recently sent from SDSU to the Big 12:

If there's a Big East, and they want to do an East & West Division, I would love to see SDSU invited. Been out to San Diego numerous times, when I had relatives living out there. A hop, skip, and a jump to Tijuana.

there were 44k there when we played them a few weeks back. More than i expected.

I thought they were going to disband their football team because they couldn't build a stadium and couldn't afford the rent at Qualcomm anymore? Or was that just posturing to get a better deal?

Man, I'm surprised to here there were 44,000 at the TCU v SDSU game at San Diego a few weeks ago, as all I saw when I watched the game on TV was empty seats everywhere.

The rumor I heard, was UNLV might downsize their football program. Of course, that's comparable to all of the other realignment rumors going around these days.

Creating confusion with your conference name has really become a right of passage. Like Missouri being in the Southeast. I have been to Boulder quite a few times, and I have never seen the Pacific from there. I don't care how high you are on the flat irons.

The Big East/West should add SDSU and Fresno to get into the California recruiting market. I think this would help us since they would be in our division. Just go to 14 in the near future (2014-15). Also hope they can get BYU this round.

Huge stadium they are playing in...I was actually shocked how many people were there. They usually bring 100 people to Ft Worth.

The SDSU fans were great to The Thadsta, HB Pony Daughter and me at the TCU game and would be a great add.

SDSU vs. TCU redux...

The TCU fans were mostly speechless when we would ask them the question "LOSE SOMETHING?" and most would just frown and mumble incoherently.

A couple of TCU student type fans at first just acted the same but after walking away had to return and reply strongly "You guys are 1-7" to which we just .

One TCU fan actually replied "NICE JOB" giving SMU props!

An SMU coed before the game started saw HB Pony Daughter's SMU Sorority Tee and immediately recognized it as a tee from SMU; she came up to us and we all had a good chuckle together about the Froggies.

The SDSU fans were almost as happy about SMU beating TCU as we. They commented about how they had never beaten TCU and were so happy that SMU had knocked their arrogant [deleted] down a few pegs!

The game actually got interesting during the 4th quarter and if SDSU hadn't kept shooting themselves in the foot it might have turned into a barn burner.

SDSU had almost 45,000 people there and the parking lot was full of tailgaters handing us beers and congratulating the Ponies.

We had a grand time and it only took us one-half hour more driving time to lo-cal than going to a USC game in LA or UCLA in the Rose Bowl.
