Good lord. This stuff is beyond ridiculous (edited so no black horseshoe).

"Contrary to media reports, there is no press conference scheduled for Wednesday concerning WVU’s athletic conference affiliation. There are no further comments at this time," WVU said in an official statement tonight.

Don't worry. They just forgot to send Jed out to Baltimore last week to trade some moonshine for the TV cameras. He'll be back by Friday. Once they figure out how to turn them on....press conference.

West Virginia’s plans to join the Big 12 have gone from "done deal" to delayed to possibly not happening at all all within a span of 24 hours.

According to a story from West Virginia MetroNews citing sources familiar with the situation and another report from Drew Rubenstein of the Dominion Post, the Big 12├óΓé¼┬▓s plans to add West Virginia have hit a snag, possibly because of a late push by Louisville to be added over the Mountaineers.

However, I just see this as a chance that the Big12 says, "okay, we'll just take you both." Would be more bad news for the Big East.
