Tulsa has played SMU six times since the schools became Conference USA foes in 2005.

Only once has more than 10 points decided the game between the schools.

The teams have won three games each since joining C-USA, with the average margin of victory being 7.7 points.

we really have had some great games with Tulsa and I think they've made a good conference mate. Under different circumstances, would like to be playing in a new SWC with Tulsa among the conference members

Now I remember why I forgot the 2008 game. I had blocked it out of my mind. That 33 yard TD pass on 4th and 21. The QB lined up in his quick kick formation which he had done a few times previously but this time threw a high arc to the end zone and the receiver out jumped our short CB. I mean 4th and 21 and they score. Almost but not quite as bad as the 4th and forever that Houston converted when we had the QB in the end zone for a near safety.
