Any News on FSN & DirecTV from the hilltop?

I subscribed to the Sports Pack so I could get FSNSW & the Mustangs here in LA...of course, this would happen the first year the good guys have 10 of 12 games on TV.

Just wondering if there is any talk back in Big D??? Perhaps a pay per view, a' la carte type of thing for the final three games??? Can't get a decent answer out of Directv...so frustrating, especially when I've already paid for them!!!

I guess the sports pack is different in Austin as no mention of it here, but the local stations are starting to say "call DirectTV if you want to keep watching us"

Yeah, I've tried calling...but it's different 'cause in CA I'm "out of market". But, honestly, I can't get a real answer out of them. Just wondered if the Godfather had come out and said anything about a solution - Can't find anything from Fox, DTV or (big surprise) the DMN about how the "Sports Package" is affected.

Guess we've got a couple weeks - hate to go back to the computer after a season of getting the Ponies in HD...should have known it was too good to be true!

I too have DIrecTV and most of SMU's games have also been shown on MASN (part of the sports pack). the one issue is The Stampede that is only on FSSW. Usually with these things they are just scaring everybody while trying to work out the best deal (my understanding is that fox sports channels are trying to significantly increase their fees). Usually they will come to some agreement by the deadline (hopefully!)

Fox is really trying to throw their weight around and bully DirecTV. They tried the same thing with Dish a year ago (Dish removed the channels for about 3 weeks and eventually raised customer rates by about $5 a month). Fox has demanded as much a a 40% increase in network fees. I could understand a 5% increase but 40%?!

I just set my DVR for tomorrow and have the sports package, etc. All the channels have "To Be Announced" on the program guide, except tomorrow at 2:30pm where FSSW and FS Hou say SMU - Tulsa. I wonder if they're letting through live sports somehow?

Dutch, does this mess up 1st and 10 tomorrow?

That' what we got from the Dish CEO when it happened with them. Maybe it is different here in Arkansas. They have been running ads to call in or find alternatives prior to November. Hopefully it will settle soon for you Direct folks.

So I am watching the TAMU vs Mizzou game on DTV, and fox starts to spout their message about DTV dropping them on the bottom crawl, a few seconds later DTV bumps in and starts spouting their side of story on another bottom crawl at the same time.
