That was a good article. She is very insightful. There has to be some internal issues with this team. It is amusing though to hear her talk about trying to get Line more involved in the game. That is almost like saying that the tight end needs to be more involved when we don't have a tight end. It would be nice to have a running game which featured some designed runs by the QB to give more deception to the running game.

Face it, the R&S, the way JJ runs it is the most QB dependent offense in football. The only running threat, in effect, is the draw to the blocking back (Line) Even if the QB was a good runner, LOL, he would not have any running plays. All you have to do, to stop SMU is to stop the draw with Line, put pressure on an immobile QB, cover the few routes he throws well and wait for the mistakes.

If JJ is really going to take SMU where it belongs, he is going to have to make changes to his offense or get some super QB along with super receivers and super players on defense.

I've got another question. Did Jones at any point yesterday think about giving Kaiser some snaps? It was pretty clear after our 1st possession in the 4th quarter that we were not going to come back and pull off a miracle win. What was the point of leaving McDermott in? Were we worried about Kaiser throwing an INT and the game getting really out of hand? If the talent gap is that significant (between McD and Kaiser), isn't that even more of a reason to get McD out and not risk injury in a lost cause?

Seems to me like yesterday was a good opportunity to get Kaiser's feet wet. I guess we should really fear what happens to this team if McD gets hurt and can't play.

Just a thought but perhaps part of the team wants Padron at QB and part wants to stick to McDermott or maybe only the offensive coaching staff wants McDermott. That would account for Kaiser not getting into the game.

I'm sure our WRs just want someone who can get it to them when they are running wide open...or can at least get it in the general vicinity when they are thrown to

The players need to worry about doing their jobs.....not who is playing QB.

How old was George Blanda when he finally retired, 48, 49? I believe he had more mobility at his age than JJM now.

The players are more worried about writing letters to the Daily Campus and dissing the fans who actually support the team.

Stop it. One player, who is watching this season because of an injury, wrote a letter that had some legitimate points. That has nothing to do with the rest of the team.

That is even dumber than the suggestion that we have to have Texan players, coached by a staff of Texan coaches. Kate and PonyPride are the only legit reporters covering this team. She does a great job.
