Where the hell is the team...

Post by PK »

...that beat TCU and squashed UCF????????????
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

It's still there. We got beaten last week by a very good team, and then forgot to show up today. It sucks, but it happens.

See you on the Boulevard, and beat Tulane!

How good is UCF, really? They got beat by BYU (blown out by TCU Friday nite) and UAB who hadn't won a game all year beat the mighty UCF Knights. UCF sucks. Only legitimate team we beat is TCU, and they are a far, far cry from last year's #2 team in the nation. Beating up UTEP, NW St, Memphis, UCF, and a down TCU team is not the stuff champions are made from. USM exposed us and Tulsa went to school on that and kicked our [deleted]. Better regroup quickly or 5 wins may be all this team wins. Yes, Tulane and Rice can beat us if we play like we have the past 8 quarters.

Where's the leadership? This team is lacking it.

We're not staying at 5 wins.
I'll be at SMU's third straight bowl game, and I'll be at Ford Stadium next Saturday to see us beat Tulane.

let's give Tulsa some credit here; they are unbeaten in CUSA play and their only losses are to OU, OSU & Boise. CUSA west could come down to the last game of the regular season between 7-0 Houston at 7-0 Tulsa

Man, between all the rumors/articles going around about the Big East, Nelson's school newspaper article of lack of student support, and now a rumor June Jones may be wanted by UCLA ? All this crap can be disruptive to the team, but what is really going on ? One of our top leaders on D is suspended for the Tulsa game ? We've gone from #29 8 days ago and a darn good football team, to a team playing near the bottom of CUSA....One thing for sure, the coaches need to get this corrected in a hurry...The SMU team that beat TCU could have beat a lot of people. The team that lost to Tulsa might not of beat a bad bennett team.
