Re: Paul McCoy at St Marys: another knee injuryTough break for Paul. Wish him well. I could mention karma, I guess I just did
Re: Paul McCoy at St Marys: another knee injury
Really? So a major injury is an appropriate price for leaving SMU?
Re: Paul McCoy at St Marys: another knee injury
If that's what you know about the story, I could understand you taking the comment wrong. I would never wish anyone injury b/c they chose to leave a school. I'm not wishing injury on McCoy either, but karma works in funny ways. Lots of back story. I always enjoyed Paul a player, was looking forward to seeing him at St Mary's.
Re: Paul McCoy at St Marys: another knee injury
Unless the back story involves criminal behavior, citing karma when someone suffers a major injury is a bit much. Or is that what you wish on every player who is immature and/or a jerk?
Re: Paul McCoy at St Marys: another knee injuryI'm sorry it didn't work out here for him. What's also disappointing is that the full talents at the collegiate level may never be fully realized.
P.S. -- I'm familiar with the backstory but it should remain off message boards.
Re: Paul McCoy at St Marys: another knee injury
Opinions vary. I'm not getting into to [deleted] for tat w/you over a kid whose career is effectively over, and a situation you know nothing about. Suffice it to say though, sometimes in this world, you truly do reap what you sow. FWIW, I found out originally via text from an ex-assistant who didn't exactly gloat, but thought it an appropriate end to a rather bitter saga. That person is far classier, and way more God-fearing than I am, so what happens to Paul is on Paul. He's a user that just got used up
Re: Paul McCoy at St Marys: another knee injury
So the injury is that bad?
Well, I'm sure you'll be on his Christmas card list!
