I think we underestimated how good USM and TU would be this year, and probably started reading our own press (top 25 votes, Big East move, etc).
And with the RnS offense, so much depends on the accuracy of the QB. When he is off, we have very little chance of winning. JJMcD needs to get back on track. Oline needs to get their act together. Wrs need to catch balls. D will be better when Reed returns. Beat Tulane, become bowl eligible, and start a new winning streak the week after against Navy. Go into UH on a roll.

Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Holy crap. The offense has become predictable. Every team we face for the rest of the season will look at tape of the last two weeks and say gotcha. The QB better get better this week in practice and not wait for the game. We need to begin a hurry up which means stop the running to the sidelines bulltttt.
A perfect storm. Brutal 4-game schedule with 3 games on the road and facing teams with a prior week patsy/bye.Slot receivers both have nagging knee injuries and one has bruised ribs which have slowed them down and greatly impacted one's production. Why a healthy Jeremy Johnson has only played a couple of plays the last two weeks after doing so good in Beasleys abscense is a mystery. The o-line has had trouble with the smaller quicker rushers of CUSA. The qb is getting pressure and is feeling it even when it isn't there and is having to wait for the slower injured slots to get open against dbs who know they are no longer deep threats. We can't run bubbles do to the size of our blocking receivers (avg 5 10 170 pounds). It just isn't the same as the buddy buddy scout team look. Jones has too much on his plate and doesn't trust his ast off coaches with subs so they don't make any except those pre game. that is why Jeremy Johnson isn't in and you have Zach Line(two injuries) and a slowed down Beasley and Darius in at the end ofTU game down by 31 pts and risking even more injury. The wind exposed weak special teams play. Defense is being put in poor field position with poor off and spec teams play. Remedy...good week of practice and Tulane, Navy and Rice at home and bowling again! Nice to be in position where we are going to be 7-5 to 9-3 and unhappy! Thats the way college football is these days. Just an opinion from a fan.
