Great marketing promotion for Saturday's game

Postby Johnny Rock » Wed Nov 10, 2004 11:00 am

Tickets are only $1.00 with two canned goods. I challenge everyone to bring a guest(s) to the game Saturday. Bring a neighbor, a co-worker, or a friend from the bar, etc. to the game Saturday. Everyone I have brought to the games this year has had a great time and wants to go back. This is Johnny Rock's last chance to party on the Blvd. this season so it should be memorable to say the least.

Question: let's coordinate some tailgating before the basketball games...kegs, women, and bar-b-que in front of Moody before the games...make it happen Eddie P.

It is always a good feeling knowing that as a season ticket holder, your ticket was $25 while the people sitting next to you paid $1 and two cans of lima beans. For once, the season ticket holders should get a break on the cost of their tickets.

Man, just do what I do--next year forego season tix and just pay by the game. Then all the specials will be yours. And the good news is you can buy end zone seats and sit on the fifty.

Supporting the team means buying season tickets - if you can't afford it maybe you should go back to school or pick up a second job instead of posting on a website. - being a whiner is bad enough, but a cheap whiner is even more tiresome.

While you're at it, look on the west side of the stadium, in the 9th row near the 48. you'll see one couple that didn't pay for their tickets at all because I gave them mine since i'm in a wedding on Saturday.

Maybe instead of complaining, you could use the promo as an opportunity to take some friends and their kids for a few bucks and some old cans from the back of your pantry.

They might actually have fun until they realize they're with you.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

When I was a little kid (late 50s, early 60s) my dad took me to every home game at the Cotton Bowl. We would go to chain link gate at the top of the tunnel and there was policeman there... an older man who had been at that post for years. My dad knew him and he would let us in. We'd walk down the ramp, crawl over the sideline wall, and have a seat. I did not think much about it, that's just the way we went to the SMU games. I realize now that we could not afford it, but being there was important. I, too, was resourceful in getting into the games until I could afford to start buying season tickets and join the Mustang Club. I hope that we are able to recruit some new fans with some of our admission "deals" and they, too, will be able to support the Mustangs on a regualr basis.

Somehow you and the phrase "good feeling" don't seem to mesh well...sort of like Bases and Acids.
