Look, I don't begrudge you and your fellow sunshiners your sunshine, but I live in the present, not the past or the future (with the exception that I am still pissed at the conduct which got us the DP during my days as an undergrad), so don't begrudge me my observations. In the future, if we put what I believe is a good team on the field, I'll call that like I see it too. It's not a slight on any individual players--I appreciate what they do. My statements are just an observation about the team. It's not hypocrisy, not disloyalty, just reality.

And just to clarify, for PK's sake, not all sunshiners are two-bit, only those that lash out at me for my observations. The rest are worth a buck or more.

I've read some dumb threads on this board, but this one may take the cake.

First, this is the typical Laura Bush Lover (MrMustang) post. Come on man, you say you're going to not post until we win two in a row. Don't get us all excited and then just change names. Especially smooth since I believe you are a Kerry supporter in I remember correctly. Really threw everyone off on that one. Even if you're not MrMustang, but some other poster who was previously chastised and forced to change names as you say, thanks for telling us that. Second, whoever was claiming Eric Dickerson was not good enough to play anywhere else is the biggest moron to ever post here and loses all credibility instantly. You do realize he's probably one of the five most coveted players in the state of Texas in the last 30 years, if not #1. Also, to even suggest that he wasn't good as a pro further convinces me that you need serious help. The guy is one of three players in NFL HISTORY to rush for 2,000 yards in a season. He is fourth on the all-time list. He was BY FAR the best pro athlete to ever come out of SMU.

However, I think it's quite obvious at this point (well, actually about 3 weeks ago) that Sir Trolls A Lot, Laura Bush Lover, and Really Fat Guy are one in the same. I'm sure this is obvious to some, but it amazes me that nobody on this board calls him on it (other than PK a few times). This person apparently gets a kick out of having conversations with himself in public. I expect he's probably about 12 years old, that's the only explanation I can think of. Anyway, why does nobody talk about this? Most people on this board just seem to have given up and accepted these "three" people, like they're separate entities or something. Woah, woah, woah, my friends! What is all this guessing and acqusation about? I'm sorry if some of you think I'm just a troll with multiple monikers, but I'm not. The fact is that I'm a proud SMU fan and not afraid to say it on this board. Being criticised needlessly on this board really gives me a good feeling of what it must be like to be a player and have ED or CJ or Knuckestang criticise the team. I know some people think I'm STAL or RFG, but I'm not. Frankly, I think they're rude, abrasive and unproductive to our mutal cause: a winning SMU football program!

1) My original point, jt, was that it was a classless move to say that your team "sucks" in direct response to a parent of one of the players. I also found it disloyal to your team, but will take your word that it wasn't. Apologies for my misjudgement.

2) I'll accept the sunshiner label for the sake of argument. I'd honestly like to know, though, why being a sunshiner is a bad thing. Could you please explain? Because, to me, that's the whole *purpose* of boards like this, the whole purpose of being a fan. Thanks.
