Re: Update on potential QB Burcham

And the Panthers’ Neal Burcham, one of the top quarterbacks in the state who committed to SMU late last week, limped off with a knee injury after being sacked with 8:29 left in the third quarter and did not return.

Although Burcham was walking, unbandaged, about without much of a limp after the game, Greenbrier coach Randy Tribble said the status of the injury is uncertain.

“It’s too early to tell; it doesn’t appear serious, but we just don’t know,” Tribble said. “We decided not to try to play him any more because the doctors were uncertain what they were dealing with.”

Hopefully not bad.

If you want to see some video on Burcham, go to the video block on our site, www.thecabin.net. We've got some pretty good stuff on him. Have been following him all season.

Thanks for the link. Looks like he has a quick release, a strong arm and can throw off balance. Not bad

Smart call by the coaches to not let him back in and possibly ruin his future for one game. Hope it turns out to be nothing. Also recruiting news goes in the recruiting section.

Thanks for the update. Keep em coming. We are excited to have him. He has competition though.

As a Greenbrier Alum, I still have some friends that are close to the situation. I contacted a few of them who said they don't believe it is serious, should just be a strained ligament in the knee, nothing long term. Then again take that for what it's worth, a guy on a web site saying what he heard second hand :D
